Monday Motivation...

I don't know how many people feel the same way I do, but my heart breaks for young people who stray away and get mixed up with the wrong crowd. Saturday morning around 3 am, a 23 year old was shot and killed. It's just another murder. They happen everyday, but I will never ever understand why. The guy who was killed was supposedly a good guy. I didn't know him personally but he graduated two years before I did from the same school. He played football and from what I remember was a nice, popular guy. I'm not saying he got mixed up with the wrong crowd or anything. I wouldn't know, and it's not my place to judge. However, I know that it happens. It's heartbreaking to me when it does. I always think about the what ifs. So, here's my challenge to you & I hope you challenge others to do the same... If you know someone who is going down the wrong path, step in and LOVE them. Show them they are appreciated and deserve the best in life. Show them God's love. You never know the impact you may make on someone's life. You could save a life. Please join me in prayer for the families who lose loved ones everyday due to these shootings. Also, pray for the people who pull the trigger. They need it too.

"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you."

WILW...

Happy Wednesday y'all.
I haven't done this in a while, but here I go. I'm linking up with Jamie to tell y'all what I'm loving on this great day.

1. I'm loving that it's supposed to be close to 90 degrees here this weekend. I'm looking forward to tanning and finishing up my first summer read.

2. I'm loving sleeping in. I'm so glad that school is over. I cherish my sleep. Probably way too much.
3. Okay, so I just have to say it. I am not loving how people won't back down off of Tim Tebow. In case you haven't heard, there's some website offering women money if they'll confess they slept with Tim Tebow. I pray that he continues to stand up for what he believes in. It's pretty sad that people make such a big deal about him being a virgin. I'm glad he has the courage to admit it. I wish people could leave him alone.

5. I'm loving, loving, loving that Duck Dynasty comes on tonight. It's becoming my new favorite.

6. As always, I'm loving him.

Tuesday "Fitday"...

I'm starting over today. I haven't really gained any weight, but I can definitely feel when I'm not being healthy. I think we all do. Plus I really want to tone up and get rid of my jiggle. Therefore, I'm starting this "Tuesday Fitday" as a way to keep myself accountable. However, I'm asking you to join with me to keep yourself accountable. I've got some great things that are helping me... including this awesome app.

 My Fitness Pal
I also found this website that has some great recipes. I'm already ready to try this one I found today... Chicken Cheese Steak Sandwiches. Yum & only 330 calories!

Anyways, I hope that y'all will join me on this fitness journey. I love to read your comments. Send me tips, suggestions, whatever... The more people you have to help you out, the better chance you will have to succeed.

Monday Motivation...

Happy Monday y'all.
I'm glad to get back to this portion of my blog. I don't know how many of y'all read my Monday Motivation posts, but in my opinion, if I can make one of y'all's days a little bit better then it's worth it. Anyways, I was thinking. I'm all for the KONY 2012 movement. I even wear the bracelet, but something hit me recently after this cover the night thing happened. Why are we so unashamed to posts signs around our cities and share the news about this, but we hardly ever tell others about God? I'm guilty of missing opportunities too, but that doesn't make it okay. If we all joined together unashamed and spread His word around like we have done for KONY 2012, think about the difference it would make.
...
Here's a little song to get you extra motivated to spread the word.

I'm Still Here...

Hey y'all. I can't believe it's been a month since my last post! I have to apologize. School has been overwhelmingly crazy. I fully believe professors get together and plan on making students' lives a living you-know-what for the last month of the semester, but I am so happy to  say that I am officially done for the semester. I spent most of the day finishing my thirteen page long exam and turned it in this afternoon!
It's all up to this one exam whether or not I get that 4.0 that I so desperately want, but I guess any way you look at it... I'm a senior in college now! Seriously?!? Where does the time go? It's kinda scary but feels so great all at the same time. I haven't been on blogger the entire month so I'm looking forward to catching up on my favorite blogs & soaking up the sun with a good book.
Thanks for understanding my crazy life. I look forward to hearing from y'all soon!
