My August in Review...

Well, I must admit, it has taken some time for me to adjust to getting back to school. Primarily because I wasn't used to getting up at the crack of dawn with a smile on my face. However, I think I'm adjusted now. So, in case you were wondering what happened to me, here's what my life has been like this past month.
Started my school experience off in the classroom I will be student teaching in. 4K! I'm super excited and can't wait for my internship to begin.

Benji's family and I had a little afternoon golf outing to celebrate his Dad feeling better since surgery.
My baby brother got his first car. A white 4runner, and I must say he looks great in it. I still can't believe he's old enough to have a car!

Oh, yeah, I met these AMAZING people! Recognize them? Duck Dynasty's Missy and Jase Robertson! He gave a great message filled with hunting, hilarious stories about Uncle Si, and his belief in God. So thankful I got to experience this!

Oh, and today, I got my hair done again. More pictures of that later. I hope y'all have had a great month and have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Mama...

Well today is the day! My Mama is officially...21! Ha. I would never tell. No matter how old or young she is I love how great she is and close we are now and always will be. Here's a few other things I love about my Mama...

1.
She's an extreme Braves fan. Like screaming at the tv and knowing every fact about the players kinda fan.

2.
She can cook a mean spaghetti. And a few other things, but mostly spaghetti.

3.
For some reason whenever she gets flustered she yells out ,"Oh poot!" I mean, come on, who does that?!?

4.
The way to her heart is not through her stomach. It is through a clean house. Period.

5.
She can do a really good impression of Phil from Duck Dynasty. For some reason, he is her
favorite. Not Uncle Si, but Phil.

6.
She thinks she's old and fat, but actually she's still young and beautiful.

 7.
She works super hard and deserves way more than she gets. Maybe one day retiring and being a grandma will make up for it.

8.
She's a great example of what a woman of God should be.

9.
She always puts her children first. (Not just my brother, even though I give her a hard time about that.)

10.
I know she will always be there for me, and I am so thankful for that!

Love you Mama! Happy Birthday! Can't wait to spend the day "junkin" with you. Hope today makes you "happy happy happy".

Confessional Friday...

Only one weekend left of summer. Bring on the paperwork and school requirements. I've been told your senior year flies by. I'm pretty sure I'm ready for that to happen. So here's some of my confessions before my thoughts become consumed with teacher lingo.

1. I have always wanted a church pew in my house (whenever I get one). I have this master plan that the church pew will go right next to the stairs. It will look a little something like this...

Church pew

Well, you see, I came across a great deal for a church pew and haven't been able to get it off my mind since that day. The problem is I just don't have the money right now and can't ask for it because I really need some new clothes for school. (Broke college girl problems)

2.
Okay, please tell me somebody else watched "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" . It was hilarious. Even Miranda Lambert got in on the goods.

Let me just tell you this family is crazy. For any of y'all who think that this child will be scarred for life or anything like that... no, you're wrong. This is a special breed of redneck. They don't give a rip and never will. Good entertainment. Reminds me of a town I used to live in. Shout out to Portal!

3.
Carrie Underwood's new video is AMAZING! She looks incredible and the song is just wham bam thank you ma'am good! If you don't believe me check it out for yourselves.

4.
I have a new obsession with raisin bagels and honey cream cheese. I've eaten it every morning. A half of a bagel of course. Not too bad for my breakfast meal. However, I confess that I really want results now even though it doesn't work that way.

5.
I have found the perfect Clemson dress! Oh my goodness it's great.
I plan on wearing it when it's cool. What do y'all think about pairing it with purple tights and cowboy boots? Honestly.

Confessional Friday...

Happy Friday y'all!
Here's my deepest darkest confessions... just kidding, but here they go!

1.
I confess that as a female I have the right to change my mind whenever I want. (Okay, ladies, you know we just get to use this as an excuse, a GREAT one, but still.) Therefore, I decided to join my Mama, brother and his friend to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousins to have a weekend on the water in Savannah. Shark fishing tonight, sun soaking tomorrow.

2.
I confess that I am super excited that I won a giveaway from Natalie for a $30 gift card to Impressions Boutique. Here's some of the options for how I'm gonna use my prize! I'm thinking I should go with something for school. What do you think?
Sky Blue Impressions Tunic

Sure Shot Royal

Tropical Affairs

Dots Amore Blue

3.
As another blogger confessed, I have an intense excitement built up for the premier of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo". Judge me if you want. I could care less. You know that junk is funny.

4.
I confess that I'm excited to go back to school. (I'll regret that comment later. For now, I'll let it soak in.)

5.
I confess that I am working my butt off to look like a fitness model. (Is that even a confession?) Anyways, I had an extreme amount of guilt after eating a small brownie with ice cream last night. You know that feeling right?

6.
Finally, I confess that I would really like to take a vacation with Benji. Things have been crazy lately, and I would really like to be able to just spend some time alone with him for a couple of days. However, I'm a traditional gal who is strong in her beliefs and know that the whole vacationing together can't happen for a while. Oh well. I'll settle for a long date.

Well, those are my confessions. I hope y'all have a great weekend. Prayers appreciated that none of us get eaten by a shark!

Teacher Style...

It's that time of year again... back to school, and now that I am officially a senior I will only have one t-shirt day a week. Give me a second to actually kiss college life goodbye. In all honesty, though, I am thrilled to be in the classroom full-time now. However, I am in need for some new clothes for this occasion. (The boyfriend would beg to differ.) Here's some inspiration for what I call my "teacher style".

Adorable!

If only I had the right amount of money to get everything I want. Guess I better get used to it though since I'll be living off a teacher salary for the rest of my life. Oh well. Gotta love it.
